Thank you for a wonderful Hebron Day 2025!
For generations, Hebron Day was a cherished tradition - a day for community members to gather and celebrate the town's spirit and history. After a decades-long hiatus, the Hebron Preservation Society and Hebron Community Vision revived this beloved community event:
- Traditional Chicken Barbecue by the Hebron Volunteer Fire Company
- Live Local Music: Performances by beloved local musicians Al and Kathy Bain, returning to play traditional bluegrass, country, and gospel; joined by Dave Moore and Don Willie
- Quilt Show & Craft Vendors: The Hebron United Presbyterian Church hosted a colorful quilt show, featuring both century-old family heirlooms contemporary work. We also hosted a great variety of local craftspeople and artisans!
- Family Fun & History: Activities included a classic apple pie contest (congratulations to the winner, Jill Clough!), outdoor games, a scavenger hunt and historical exhibits presented as part of the country's upcoming 250th anniversary, including a meeting with a Revolutionary War soldier
- Support Local: Raffles of generously donated vendor gift baskets raised money for HPS, and a Telescope Casual Furniture patio set raised money for the Fire Company.
Hebron's history is rich with community gatherings, from town picnics dating back to the mid-1800s to landmark events like the 1957 celebration of a new paved highway connecting East and West Hebron and the town's vibrant bicentennial in 1986. This revival seeks to capture that same spirit of fellowship and joy.
This event was made possible by Hebron Preservation Society, Hebron Community Vision, Hebron United Presbyterian Church, Hebron Volunteer Fire Company, our generous local sponsors, and the dedication of local volunteers, artists and farmers.
